NSW Code of Conduct

NSW Code of Conduct

The NSW Government has introduced a Code of Conduct for the Short-term Rental Accommodation Industry (“The Code”) which comes into effect from 18 December 2020.

The main objectives of The Code are to:

1. Set out the rights and obligations of short-term rental accommodation Hosts, Guests and other industry participants.

2. Provide for resolution of disputes and complaints about the conduct of short-term rental accommodation industry participants.

3. Outline the compliance and enforcement approach that applies to contraventions of the code by short-term rental accommodation Hosts, Guests and other industry participants.

4. Facilitate the oversight of the short-term rental accommodation industry.

All Hosts and Guests are bound by The Code for all bookings in NSW occurring on or after Friday 18 December 2020, so it’s important to familiarise yourself with The Code. You can find The Code here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know before booking.
